CFI Report 2018

Fatigue is an important factor in aviation. Fatigue degrades a person’s ability to stay awake, alert and attentive to the demands of operating an aircraft safely. To make it worse, fatigue actually impairs our ability to judge and just how fatigued we really are. Fatigue has been cited as a cause in many aviation accidents and is a continuing problem facing crews flying aircraft of all sizes. Pilots must take steps to manage fatigue risk, including the possible decision not to operate an aircraft if they feel that they are unfit as a result of fatigue, or likely to become so. Attached is a poster on tips for avoiding fatigue, this is just a guideline in taking steps to avoid fatigue.
