It's been long enough and no answer has been forthcoming.

This aircraft is a ML Utility Mk1  XK-776.  It is British and was intended as an inflatable wing aircraft for troop movements.  As a concept aeroplane, it was never accepted and now resides in the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop in the U.K.  It dates from July 1969.
